Matt Sajna is the Operations Manager for the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. He assists with the planning and execution of each event hosted by the Sports Commission, and brings a strong passion for Cleveland and the sporting industry. He also oversees the organization's internship program. Sajna began his career at the Sports Commission as an Event Management intern, after which he transitioned into the role of Sports & Operations Coordinator for the 2013 National Senior Games. Following the Senior Games, he moved into his role as Event & Volunteer Coordinator. During his time with the organization, Sajna has had the opportunity to assist with several NCAA Championships events, USA National Governing Body events and other local events. He has also been able to provide guidance and leadership through his management of the Volunteer and Internship programs.
Sajna is a graduate of Miami University, where he was a member of the RedHawk Baseball program. After college, Matt spent two season with the Akron Aeros, Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, serving as the team's bullpen catcher.
